Short film has an extensive and expansive future. Short film has become a useful tool in the integration of multimedia through advertising, fashion, the Internet and publication. Even the current movie and television industries have been adapting short film to facilitate the new demand of the American audiences. Ben Stiller created three short films before his film “Tropic Thunder,” in 2008. The cartoon network airs shows that are only 15 mins long. The Oscars now have a short film category that recognizes the best of short films every year. Film and video in general have been expanding and crossing over into many other avenues of communication. And I believe that they have been adapted in the form of short films to create this new wave of multimedia within the world we live in today.
